What styles and genres do you cover?
We cover a big mix including pop, soul, Motown, funk, disco, R&B, 90s/00s throwbacks, rock classics, party anthems and modern chart music. In short, crowd-pleasing favourites that appeal to all generations. The goal is always the same: songs people actually know, love, and can’t help joining in.
Do your bands play medleys and mash-ups?
Yes, and it’s a huge part of the Boujee magic. Our signature medleys and mash-ups are designed to keep the energy rising and the dance floor full. We blend styles and genres, old and new, so there’s always something for everyone and guests of all ages feel pulled in. Medleys give you the best of everything: iconic classics, modern anthems, and crowd favourites, all woven together to keep momentum high.
Do your bands play their own arrangements of songs?
Yes. You’ll recognise every song instantly, but we elevate it with our own arrangements, building in signature moments like mash-ups, groove switches, and big live solos that keep the energy rising all night. And because it’s live, we can do what the record can’t: read the room in real time, interact with your guests in the moment, and extend the best sections when the dance floor is absolutely loving it.
Do you provide saxophone players?
Yes, sax is very much part of the Boujee sound! Several of our bands include sax as part of the line-up, so depending on what you book, it may already be built in. And if you want sax earlier in the day too, you can add solo sax for drinks, dinner, or cocktail hour for that extra ‘wow’ moment.
What happens between live sets? Is there music playing the whole time?
Yes. We’ll always keep the atmosphere flowing between live sets. Depending on what you book, you’ll either have our DJ keeping the energy up and the dance floor full, or curated playlist music through our PA (we can use ours, or you can send over your own).
Do you offer DJs, and can we use our own?
Both. You can book one of our professional DJs alongside your band, or you’re welcome to use your own DJ. Either way, we’ll ensure transitions are smooth and the atmosphere stays consistent.
Can you perform outdoors?
Yes, we’ll just put the right plan in place based on the band you’ve booked. Some line-ups will need mains power and proper weather cover, while roaming or acoustic options can often work more flexibly. Either way, we’ll always agree a solid wet-weather back-up with you and your venue, so we can adapt on the day and keep the music happening wherever your guests are.
